CrossFit Head Coach - Wayne
During my 9 years service in the Royal Navy I realised my heart didn't lie in Engineering but instead lay in a health and wellness capacity, helping individuals reach their goals for a better quality of life.
So personal training ensued for 4 years prior to leaving the armed forces, then a 7 year stint in a mainstream gym with a vast array of conditions and injuries to work with, some very challenging but always rewarding.
I was then introduced to CrossFit roughly 10 years ago, I was instantly hooked and looked in depth to the methodology behind CrossFit. Within 3 weeks I'd booked my Level 1 coaches course, next step was to search for a space of my own to open a Box. This was not plain sailing by any means, the end result though is CrossFit Devils Path. Within our box you'll find an amazing work ethos, passion and professionalism, wrapped up in a community spirit that is like having a second family. Writing this makes me proud to be involved, myself and the Coaching team look forward to sharing your journey.

CrossFit Coach - Tom
Why CrossFit? I chose CrossFit so I could learn new skills and constantly be challenged unlike any other training programme.
Favourite Movement? Ring Muscle Ups. They are a good barometer of where your strength and skills meets, and there is nothing more rewarding than coaching a member to their first!
Favourite Workout? Hero WOD 'Murph'. 1 mile run. 100 pull ups. 200 push ups. 300 air squats. 1 mile run.
CrossFit and the public services are closely linked and this powerful workout reminds me of the suffering our men and women go through on a regular basis.
Tom holds internationally recognised qualifications in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training. (YMCA) and is also a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1).
CrossFit Coach - Dan
Why CrossFit? CrossFit has changed the way I train for good, having been training for over 13 years and the last 5 just doing CrossFit it has changed my whole attitude towards fitness. The community, the ever changing workouts and the feeling after is a complete package for me. It's like nothing you've experienced before. I like the feeling of being uncomfortable during WODs and pushing myself to it's limit, it's weirdly addictive.

CrossFit Coach - Dave
Why CrossFit? Varied workouts & Community. Years ago I was training on my own in a globogym and feeling like I had plateaued. I was convinced by Chris to try CrossFit, so I put my gym membership on hold and tried one session. I had been working out 7 days a week and thought that I was in great shape. I got my arse handed to me in that session and I loved it. I quit the gym that day and haven't looked back. I also found the coaching to be first class. I thought that I knew how to lift due to my training, but found I had picked some bad habits, which Wayne seized on and made me reduce my weights until I could show proper form. The community has also kept me in CrossFit. When I first started I was personally not feeling too good about myself, but coming to Devil Path lifted me. It gave me energy and drive when I felt I had none and gave me new friends and a sense of community inside and outside the box.
Favourite Movement? Push Jerk
Favourite Workout? Chief. Power Cleans. Push-Ups. Air Squats. 15 minutes of work.

CrossFit Coach - Russ
Why CrossFit? I injured my knee at 18, surgeon told me if I injured it again I might not walk again. Lived in a pub playing darts & pool drinking pints and fine dining on assorted bar snack for 10 odd years. My old man, found out he had prostate cancer he was always in the gym and made an amazing full recovery. Asked myself if he had it, it could be genetic if I got it how well would I get over it in my condition? Met Wayne as a PT he introduced me to crossfit and I’ve been a cult member ever since living life better than ever

CrossFit and Surrey Weightlifting Coach - Joe
Why CrossFit? I started my Crossfit journey back in 2012 and I haven’t looked back since. I was instantly hooked on the Crossfit training methodology, and everything from the community spirit through to nutrition. Another aspect of Crossfit I love is the competitions, specifically in a team or pairs. In 2016 I decided I wanted to go one step further and coach, so I qualified as a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, and now take the Olympic lifting classes every Tuesday.

CrossFit Coach - Luke
Hi everyone my name is coach Luke Robinson! I’m in charge of the kids programming and CrossFit classes at devils path. I also take wednesday evenings CrossFit sessions and Thursdays ignite circuit class. My passion is to help people change their lives in the simplest and most realistic way possible. I believe everyone deserves the right to good health and to to be happy with themselves inside and out.
I come from a martial arts background having trained in both karate and boxing, with more than 10 years experience in the disciplines.
I was first exposed to CrossFit in 2014 and instantly knew it was for me. The constant variety in workouts, and exercises as well as the CrossFit community stand out to me in making the sport so enjoyable.
I’ve been coaching classes since 2016 and found my real passion in the Olympic lifts which I now specialise in. My favourite exercise would have to be the power clean, there’s no sweeter sound to me than the snap of the feet landing on the platform.
I am always available to offer advice and I look forwards to seeing you all in class.
CrossFit Fundamentals Coach - Josh
I joined CrossFit in 2019 after having to quit rugby due to injury. I love the competitive, yet communal nature of the sport and took to it instantly. I've always been a competitive person and being able to push myself daily against others as well as the clock always puts a smile on my face. It makes me just as happy to push other people to achieve their best too. As a coach, if I can help you learn a new movement or get a new PR, that gives me as much satisfaction as hitting a PR of my own.
Favourite Movement? Handstand walking & Snatch. I love their complexity and the finesse required to make them look effortless even though they're both as tough.
Favourite Workout? Open workout 20.5. 40 ring muscle ups. 80 calorie row. 120 wall balls
Lauren Holt - Sports Therapist
Lauren is a Graduate Sports Therapist, who specialises in injury treatments, which includes sports massage, rehabilitation and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation (IASTM) which is myofascial release work as well as therapeutic cupping and dry needling.

Lauren graduated from Chichester University in 2017. She has since practiced as a Graduate Sports Therapist within the surrounding areas and has come across a vast number or sporting and work related injuries.
MANGO - DEVILS PATH MASCOT
I'm Mango, I've been involved with Devils Path my whole life, I spend most of my time keeping an eye on you guys, helping warm you up, but you can find me chasing a ball or playing tug of rope. Come say hello if you see me at the box. I'm always happy to see you and will wag my tail a lot.
